We're talking about a potential 10% reduction in both thickness and weight, which could make a real difference in how the phone feels in your pocket and in your hand.

If this pans out, the Z Flip 8 could be around 12mm thick when folded and weigh about 169 grams. Considering that the Z Flip 7 was already thinner than the Z Flip 6, this would be a pretty impressive feat. It's worth remembering that nothing is official yet, and these are just rumors, but the idea is exciting nonetheless. For instance, I remember when phones were getting thinner and lighter every year, and it made a noticeable difference in everyday use. It seems like Samsung wants to bring back that feeling with the Z Flip 8.
