Samsung's been busy tinkering with its software, and I've got some interesting news for you. They recently launched the One UI 8.5 beta program, giving Galaxy S25 users a sneak peek at what's coming. And guess what? The latest beta update seems to be bringing a really useful feature to the camera app.

Specifically, a white balance slider might be on its way. According to a reliable source, this slider has been added to the camera app in the most recent One UI 8.5 beta. What's cool is that it's accessible right in the default photo mode. This means you won't have to mess around with the pro mode to fine-tune your white balance.

Imagine quickly adjusting the white balance before you even snap a photo! That's the idea. The tipster even mentioned that this slider could be especially helpful on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, as they felt the phone sometimes struggled with white balance accuracy.

However, there's a catch. The slider doesn't actually work yet. There's speculation that it might not fully debut until the Galaxy S26 series. It's a bit of a tease, but it shows where Samsung's headed.

Even though it's not fully functional yet, I think it's great that Samsung's adding more practical features to the standard photo mode. It's something Google already offers, making it super easy to adjust white balance. Speaking of adjustments, I would personally love to see Samsung add a shadow slider like the one on Pixel phones. It would be a welcome addition to fine tune your photos.
