One UI 8 Beta Lands on Galaxy S23 and More Samsung Phones
I think it's great that Samsung is pushing forward with its latest One UI 8 beta, which is based on Android 16. Although the initial rollout of One UI 7 had some hiccups, they're clearly working hard to get this new version into the hands of users quickly. It seems like they're focusing on a broad range of devices, not just their newest flagships.
If you have a Galaxy S23, you might be in luck. I've heard that the One UI 8 beta is now rolling out in India and South Korea for those who signed up. There are whispers about it being available in the UK as well. If you are in the US or Germany, keep an eye out – it might be coming your way soon.
But it's not just the S23 series that's getting the love. Samsung is also opening up the beta program to several A Series phones, including the Galaxy A55, A35, and even the A54. That's pretty impressive, considering the A54 is only a couple of months old! I think it's a smart move to include these mid-range devices, as it shows they're committed to keeping a wide range of customers up-to-date.
I think it's only a matter of time before the update hits the Galaxy A56, Z Fold 5, and Z Flip 5 too. Given that Samsung has already released six beta updates for the Galaxy S25, I reckon we can expect a stable One UI 8 update for the flagship series pretty soon. If you're keen to give it a whirl, just head over to the Samsung Members app on your Galaxy phone. If your device is eligible, you should see a banner at the top inviting you to sign up for the beta. It should be available for your device in a few hours.
