OnePlus 15T: Compact Size, Massive Battery, and Powerful Performance on the Horizon
I've always appreciated a phone that doesn't feel like I'm lugging around a brick, and it sounds like OnePlus might be delivering just that with their upcoming OnePlus 15T (possibly the 15s in some markets). We're hearing whispers about it boasting a compact 6.3-inch screen. In a world of ever-growing phone sizes, this is a breath of fresh air for those of us with smaller hands or a preference for pocket-friendly devices.
The real kicker, though, is the potential for a massive 7,000mAh battery. That's huge! Fitting that kind of power into a phone this size would be an impressive feat of engineering. To give you some context, that's a significant jump from the already respectable 5,850mAh battery in the OnePlus 13s. Imagine the battery life!
Beyond the size and battery, the rumors also point to a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This suggests that OnePlus isn't skimping on performance either. A powerful processor combined with a long-lasting battery and a manageable size? That sounds like a winning combination.
There's also talk about a metal frame, multi-function buttons (possibly tailored for camera or AI functions), and "ultrasonic sensors." While the mention of "sensors" could be a translation quirk, it hints at a potential upgrade to an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor. I've found those to be generally faster and more reliable than the optical sensors we often see.
If I could have one wish for this phone, it would be the addition of a telephoto camera. The current OnePlus 13T/13s only has a dual-camera setup, so a telephoto lens would round out the photography experience nicely. I am looking forward to see how this phone will perform.
