OnePlus 15: Leaks Suggest SuperBlack Color and Enhanced Display
With the Pixel 10 just around the corner, I'm already looking ahead to the next wave of Android flagships. One device that's piqued my interest is the rumored OnePlus 15. Even though the OnePlus 13 came out relatively early this year (or late last year, depending on how you look at it!), it still holds its own against the competition. And while it's still early, whispers about the OnePlus 15 are starting to circulate, and they sound pretty exciting.
One of the most intriguing rumors is the potential for a "SuperBlack" color option. This isn't just your average black; we're talking about a black so deep, it might just suck all the light out of the room! A reliable source suggests that OnePlus is putting a lot of focus on the phone's overall design, particularly the rear camera and body. It's said they're experimenting with new materials, so we'll have to wait and see what makes it to the final product.
The **display** is another area where OnePlus might be upping their game. While it's just a rumor for now, the OnePlus 15 could feature BOE's unreleased X3 display technology, a step up from the X2 found in the OnePlus 13. Another leak points to a 1.5K resolution flat screen.
According to leaks, OnePlus seems to be focusing on screen quality. Words on the street is the screen might have improved brightness and detail, along with reduced power consumption.
Besides the screen, the battery may also get an upgrade. While the Chinese variant is rumored to feature a massive 7,000mAh battery, keep in mind that the international versions might have slightly smaller capacities due to shipping regulations. Leaks suggest the OnePlus 15 could be powered by the next-gen Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 chipset and sport a 50MP triple camera setup with a large sensor primary camera and a periscope zoom lens.
The OnePlus 15 is expected to launch in China in Q4 2025, with a global release following either in late Q4 2025 or early Q1 2026. Of course, all of this is just speculation at this point, but it's fun to imagine what OnePlus has in store for us. I'll be keeping a close eye on any new information that surfaces!
