Motorola Edge 70 Ultra: First Leaked Image Reveals Potential Design
Okay, so Motorola's been busy. Just after launching the Edge 70 worldwide, it seems a leaked image of what's supposedly the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra has surfaced. I think it is a good sign, showing us where Motorola might be heading with their next top-tier phone.
The image, revealed by Android Headlines, presents the phone in two different styles. We've got what looks like a dark graphite version and a bronze-green option. From what I can see, these are a departure from the smoother, leather-like finish of the standard Edge 70. It seems like Motorola's aiming for a more practical, grippy feel this time around.
The rear design is dominated by a noticeable square camera module, holding three lenses and a flash. The power and volume buttons remain on the right side, which is pretty standard. However, there's an extra button on the left. I'm curious about this, because it might be connected to new AI features.
While we don't get a peek at the front screen in this leak, I’m left wondering whether Motorola will stick with the curved screen seen on the Edge 50 Ultra or switch to a flat display like the regular Edge 70. I think it is an important decision.
Previously, leaks hinted that the Edge 70 Ultra might come equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip and 16GB of RAM. Other rumors suggest a 1.5K OLED display and a periscope telephoto camera. It is a solid configuration.
For now, Motorola hasn't announced any release dates. Considering that there hasn't been an Ultra model this year and that the Edge 60 Ultra name was skipped, I think the Edge 70 Ultra might be the device to keep an eye on. It's the next big thing, perhaps?
