iPhone 17 Pro: Early Prototype Spotted?

Mobile

Alright, tech enthusiasts, buckle up! I stumbled upon something that might just pique your interest – whispers and blurry snapshots suggesting an iPhone 17 Pro prototype might have been spotted in the wild. I know, I know, it sounds like something out of a spy movie, right? But before we get carried away, let's take a closer look at what's going on.

Someone on X (formerly Twitter) shared a couple of not-so-clear photos of a mysterious device. Of course, this immediately sent the internet into a frenzy! The user claimed it was a test version of the upcoming iPhone. Naturally, speculation is running wild.

In the pictures, you can see someone holding what looks like an iPhone inside a thick, black case. You know, the kind of case that's designed to hide the real design. Next to it, there's what seems to be an iPhone 16 Pro, with a sticker on the back. This sticker could be there to track the device, as Apple often does with internal prototypes.

What Makes it a Potential iPhone 17 Pro?

Now, here's where it gets interesting. Rumors have been circulating that the iPhone 17 Pro will have a rectangular camera bump on the back. They say the LED flash, rear microphone, and LiDAR Scanner will be vertically aligned on the right side of this bump. And guess what? In the photo, the device seems to have circular openings in the top-right corner, which could be for the LED flash and LiDAR Scanner.

But here's the thing: it's all speculation at this point. As I said before, the images are blurry, and it could be anything. However, the fact that the person holding the device was supposedly being protected by security adds a little fuel to the fire. Someone even claimed the security was trying to block the view of the iPhone.

Even if this is indeed an iPhone 17 Pro prototype, the photos don't really reveal anything we haven't already heard in rumors. Still, it's fun to imagine what Apple has in store for us, isn't it? Until then, we'll just have to keep our eyes peeled and wait for more concrete information.

Personally, I think it's fun to see these kind of leaks. However, I'd take them with a grain of salt. It's easy to fake these things, and even if it's real, things can change drastically between now and the final product release.
