Galaxy S25 FE Leaks: Qi2 Wireless Charging Confirmed, Magnetic Accessories Still Uncertain

Mobile

As the rumor mill churns ahead of Samsung's big foldable phone releases next year, a new leak has caught my eye: the upcoming Galaxy S25 FE. It seems the phone has popped up in a certification listing, giving us a sneak peek at what minimal changes we can expect.

Based on the image, the overall design doesn't seem to be changing much. We're likely looking at a continuation of the same design language, with those familiar individual rear cameras and silver accents. Honestly, if it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? But I was definitely hoping to see something fresh!

The listing confirms the Galaxy S25 FE will have Qi2-compatible wireless charging. However, it seems like the phone may not have the magnets needed for MagSafe-style accessories. It's a bit disappointing, as I was hoping to see Samsung fully embrace the magnetic accessory ecosystem. Still, it's nice to see wireless charging making a return, even if it's still capped at 15W.

Other Expected Improvements

From other leaks, there are rumors that the S25 FE could have a 12MP front-facing camera. The display is expected to remain the same at 6.7 inches, but with a peak brightness boosted to 2,600 nits. It might even use the same Exynos 2400e chipset. In my view, at least this screen brightness update should make a real difference in everyday use.

Another interesting detail is the potential improvement to the phone's ergonomics, thanks to a slimmer mid-frame. If the rumors are true, it will make it noticeably thinner in hand. Also, it seems like they are making the bezels smaller, which should make the phone more compact.

If Samsung sticks to its usual schedule, we can expect the Galaxy S25 FE to launch sometime in the last quarter of 2025. As always, I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for more information.
