Forget the usual Edge series; we might be looking at Motorola's very first "Signature" phone. This isn't just a name change, though. The idea is that this new line will represent a step above, a true premium experience for those willing to spend a little more.

Leaked images are circulating, giving us the clearest view yet of this mysterious device. If these pictures are accurate – and they usually are – we can expect a sleek design with curved edges and a centered punch-hole camera. It seems to have a high-end feel that I think many will appreciate.

Turning to the back, there is a prominent camera island with a triple-lens setup. The specs look promising, too. The leaks indicate that the Signature phone will have a telephoto lens capable of a 12-71mm focal range, optical image stabilization, and a Sony LYTIA camera sensor. The phone should also support Dolby Vision, which may allow high-quality images and videos.

However, what's under the hood is what really matters. We might be looking at a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor with 16GB of RAM if previous data is reliable. Early speculation also suggests the device will feature a 1.5K OLED display and a periscope telephoto camera.

Possible release and implications

It's hard to know when this Motorola Signature phone will finally hit the shelves, as details on the launch date are still vague. Motorola didn't launch an Ultra phone this year, which is interesting. Maybe they have decided to make way for the new Signature device. Given that we are almost at the end of the year, perhaps the phone will now launch sometime in the first half of next year.
