Apple's Foldable iPhone: Is a Pocket-Sized Revolution Coming?

It seems Apple's first foldable iPhone, which we're expecting next year, might be smaller than many people anticipate. Recent reports indicate the outer display on this book-style device could be just 5.3 inches. That's smaller than the screen on the old iPhone mini! It raises a question: Why would Apple go for such a compact size? I think that people are overlooking Apples design choices, and I think it will be awesome. A content creator, Ben Gaskin, even shared images and videos of a printed version of the device based on these dimensions. This gives us a better idea of what it might look and feel like. Gaskin's mock-up also hints at Apple's design strategy, which appears to be a balancing act between the outer and inner displays. Think about it: a tall, phone-like outer screen often results in a more square inner panel when unfolded. This can be awkward for things like videos. However, a rectangular inner display, which is great for using multiple apps at once, often means a wider or smaller outer display. The rumored dimensions suggest Apple might be prioritizing the experience of the unfolded screen. If users start thinking of the device as an iPad that can fold into a pocket, the design choices make much more sense.
