Okay, so Apple's Vision Pro, now rocking the M5 chip and a snazzy Dual Knit Band, is hitting shelves in Korea and Taiwan come Friday, November 28. Pre-orders are already live, so if you're in those regions, you can get your hands on one soon.

What's the big deal with the M5? Well, it's not just a minor tweak. We are talking about a 10-core CPU and a 10-core GPU, not to mention Neural Accelerators and a 16-core Neural Engine. All this to say that it's a serious upgrade. The battery life is also getting a boost, now clocking in at around three hours for video playback, which is nice.

Beyond the chip, the displays are also getting some love. They're rendering 10% more pixels, which should make everything look sharper. I think that the introduction of a 120Hz refresh rate is amazing to drastically cut down on motion blur; I can only imagine how much better everything will look with that silky smooth rate.

While the core design and connectivity are staying the same, including the R1 chip, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.3, the new Dual Knit Band sounds like a clever addition. It combines two straps into one, with tungsten inserts in the lower strap acting as counterweights. If you ask me, any little thing that helps with balance and comfort is a win.

Pricing-wise, in Korea, the Vision Pro with the M5 and Dual Knit Band starts at 4,990,000 won. In Taiwan, you're looking at NT$119,900. When you consider the enhanced visual clarity and extended battery life, it might be worth considering.
