Apple Prepares Day-One Updates for New iPad Pro, MacBook Pro, and Vision Pro

Mobile Devices

Apple's gearing up to launch day-one software updates for its upcoming iPad Pro, MacBook Pro, and Vision Pro models. It seems like iPadOS 26.0.1 (23A8464), macOS 26.0.1 (25A8364), and visionOS 26.0.1 (23M8340) are ready to go when these devices hit the shelves.

What's interesting is that these new devices are expected to boast the M5 chip. If you think about it, it makes sense that Apple would want to ensure everything runs smoothly right out of the box with optimized software.

Apparently, these gadgets will probably have the current OS versions already installed. It's anyone's guess what these new iPadOS, macOS, and visionOS updates will actually contain. However, day-one updates tend to deliver crucial bug fixes. I always appreciate when companies squash those initial bugs quickly. It shows they care about the user experience.

The updated iPad Pro, MacBook Pro, and Vision Pro are available to pre-order right now. I believe they'll begin showing up to customers and stores on Wednesday, October 22.
